Swedish skater Pontus Alv founded The Polar Skate Co. in May of 2011 after feeling disillusioned with the corporate nature of the skate scene in America. From his hometown of Malmo, Pontus grew his brand by making apparel and designing boards that had a fresh look and his abstract graphics garnered a cult following and Polar has now become one of the most promising brands in skateboarding.
